Two major changes in these rules include extending the availability of the short-term approval (STA) application through June 30, 2029 and allowing the content test to be waived for individuals pursuing school support personnel licensure who holds specific licensure form the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR.)

More information about the test waivers and applicable IDFPR licenses can be found on this page. Educators seeking the test waiver must email a copy of their IDFPR license to licensureforms@isbe.net.
